Monitor project implementation to reduce the risks of climate change accidents

Members of the leadership committee of Risk Reduction of Climate Change accidents Project, visited from the Climate Change accidents Risk Reduction Project funded by the World Environment Facility, Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program in Nangarhar province.
The Chairman of the People's Council of Muslimabad-Kameh Village, while welcoming the members of the Committee Leadership, gave information about the progress of the project activities and said: The construction of the retaining wall, which is 625 square meters in length, was built to prevent floods and the destruction of agricultural lands. During their visit to the project, members of the project leadership and representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) noted that they are working to increase flexibility in the face of climate change to attract and implement such projects from global financial mechanisms.
Members of the leadership committee of Risk Reduction of Climate Change accidents also oversaw ‎the construction of a greenhouse project for the cultivation and growth of plants in the district. ‎Findings of the project leadership team show that the implementation of this project in Nangarhar ‎province will be useful and effective to prevent accidents, build adaptation capacity, and increase ‎resilience to climate change.‎
