Meeting of the Coordination Committee of sapling planting for the year 1400

Meeting of the Coordination Committee of the planting saplings process for the year ‎‎1400 held and chaired by Schah Zaman Maiwandi, Director General of the ‎National Environmental Protection Agency, with the participation of committee ‎members (representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation and ‎Livestock, Rural Development, Urban Development, and Lands, local organs ‎and Kabul municipality), consultants and experts of this office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Jalaluddin Naseri, Head of Natural Heritage Preservation of this department, spoke about obtaining the views of the relevant departments to complete the Sapling Planting Plan for 1400 and said: The relevant ministries and departments expressed their views in the public awareness sections Public participation, how to protect trees and irrigate them, introducing different types of trees according to climate and soil and sharing the provinces seriously in this process; They have been sent to this office and all the ideas are included in the plan that this plan is going to be sent to the high presidential official for approval soon.
During the meeting, the members of the committee, after discussion and ‎exchange of views, emphasized finalizing the draft plan and having a clear ‎procedure for the sapling planting of the year 1400.‎
After hearing the views of the committee members, Mr. Maiwandi emphasized on explaining the Miyavaki method, public awareness, public participation and explaining the cultivars and required resources. And the rest of the figures mentioned in the plan should also indicate the sources of funding.
The Director General of the National Environmental Protection Agency stressed the need for public participation in the process of planting and caring for planted seedlings, stressing that the public, private sector and civil society should be involved in the process of planting. So that everyone feels responsible for planting seedlings and protecting trees.
It should be noted that according to the presidential decree; The 20th of Hoot ‎has been designated as the National Sapling planting Day, which is ‎celebrated every year by launching the Sapling planting by the public, private ‎sector, civil society organizations, and international partner organizations ‎participation in this process.‎
