Meeting of the Leadership Committee of #SGP Small Assistance Programs chaired ‎by Schah Zaman Maiwandi, Director General of the National Environmental ‎Protection Agency, and attended by Engineer Ezatullah Siddiqi technical deputy ‎director of the office, Director General of Natural Resources of the Ministry of ‎Agriculture and Livestock, Head of SGP, University lecturers and representatives ‎of government departments that make up the members of the leadership ‎committee were held in the meeting hall of Band-e Amir.
During the meeting, 18 civil society organizations presented informational presentations on 18 proposals that included various environmental issues.
Six proposals worth $ 300,000 were approved by the committee from the plans discussed.
It is noteworthy that the Small Assistance Program is funded by the Global ‎Environment Facility GEF and will be implemented by the United Nations ‎Development Program (UNDP) under the leadership of the National ‎Environmental Protection Agency in Kabul, Kunduz, and Kunar provinces for 18 ‎months.
