The 11th meeting of the Special Committee for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment was chaired by Engineer Ezatullah Sediqi, Deputy Director of technical   affairs of the National Environmental Protection Agency, with the participation of committee members.
At the beginning of the meeting, the committee reviewed the environmental and ‎social impact assessment report and activities of 7 projects. The committee approved the ‎initial environmental assessment report of 3 projects (Hiwad Foolad Iron Melting, ‎Abdulrahman Babab Iron melting company, and Omid Wahid Industrial Steel ‎Company).
During the meeting, the committee conditionally approved two projects (Herat ‎Foolad Industrial Company and Green Root Water Supply and Sewerage ‎Company).
At the end of the meeting, the members of the committee rejected two other projects (the preliminary environmental assessment report of Panj Amo watershed in Badakhshan province and the non-alcoholic beverage factory of Seyed Mahboob Shah Padshah Zoi) due to non-submission of a standard report.
