United Nations Global Campaign on Sustainable Nitrogen Management
Idrees Malyar Deputy Director General for Policy and International Affairs National Environmental Protection Agency represented Afghanistan, among 31 countries, in the Launch of UN Global Campaign on Sustainable Nitrogen Management on Oct 23-24, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Malyar said: Afghanistan is a developing country coping with nearly four decades of environmental degradation of many kinds. The people and the Government of Afghanistan are trying to secure a healthy future through sound management of chemicals and pollution.
Malyar mentioned: we understand the negative impacts of Nitrogen on the environment and humans and are committed to sound management of it, promoting efforts in this regard with financial and technical assistance of our partners.
