A one-day Green Customs workshop held

The National Ozone Unit of the National Environmental Protection Agency in coordination with Afghanistan’s Customs and Tax Academy (ACTA) held a one-day Green Customs workshop on 5th November 2019 in which more than 40 customs officers from different ports of the country have attended the workshop.
The aim of the workshop was to raise the awareness of customs officers about the importance of ozone layer and the multilateral environmental agreements specifically the Montreal Protocol.
During the workshop, participants were provided with scientific information on ozone-depleting substances, quota system for preventing the illegal trade of these substances and the Kigali amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
