Discussion about Mutual Environmental Agreements between Afghanistan and Tajikistan

Meeting about discussion two sides Environmental Agreements concepts between


National Environmental Protection Agency and Tajikistan Environmental Committee held in the United Nation office of Kabul on November 6, 2019.


In this meeting Engineer Ezatullah Sediqi Deputy Director-General of NEPA, Karim Jan Abdullah Uf Director of Tajikistan board, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Finance, UNEP, World Bank, ZOI, Association and close agencies were presented.  


Engineer Ezatullah Sediqi Deputy Director-General of NEPA first talked about relationships between two countries and he added:  one item of the seventh cooperation protocol between two countries is entente and expanse of environmental cooperation that we are working on the concept of this. 


Subsequently, Karim Jan Abdullah Uf Director of Tajikistan board talked about the track record of the environmental cooperation of two countries and he added: Signing of this agreement is important step in the section of environmental protection between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.   


Participants in this meeting discussed about the concept of this agreement and they shared their technical and scientific ideas and prepared version of that and after approval from diplomatic resource will sign it.  


This agreement prepared in 9 parts and includes wildlife places management, climate change, circumstance implementation of international environmental agreements, the draft of common plans and strategies regarding solving environmental challenges between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
