Director General of NEPA arrived in Bamyan province to announce Shah-e-Foladi and Bamyan Plateau protected areas

Schah-Zaman Maiwandi Director General and Engineer Ezatullah Sediqi Deputy Director General of National Environmental Protection Agency along with a Senior Advisor to the President and representatives of Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) arrived in Bamyan province to announce Shah-e-Foladi and Bamyan Plateau protected areas. The delegation was welcomed by acting governor.
“Today I had the great honor and pleasure to officially announce Bamyan Plateau as the country’s fifth Protected Area. By end of this year National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) will have declared 5% of #Afghanistan’s land area as protected” , Said Maiwandi.
